# First steps: invitation and password

You get into SingleMall by invitation only. The invitation is a link: open it, choose a password and your account is ready.

1.  **Open the link** in the invitation message. It opens in your browser, on any device. The link works once, for seven days.
2.  **Choose your password.** Your e-mail address is already filled in: it is the one the invitation was sent to. Your account is ready.
3.  **Choose how to use SingleMall:** [the Android app](/en/guide/android.md) or [your browser, on any device](/en/guide/browser.md). Either way, sign in with the e-mail address from the invitation and the password you chose.

## Your password

-   **To change it**, open Settings and tap "Change password". You need the current one.
-   **If you forgot it**, tap "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page: you get a code by e-mail and choose a new one.
-   **If the person running SingleMall sent you a password reset**, you get an e-mail with a code. At your next sign-in SingleMall asks for that code and a new password.

Nobody sees your password, not even the person who runs SingleMall.

## Questions

### The link does not work or has expired.

Ask whoever sent the first invitation for a new one: a link works once and for seven days.

### I have not received an invitation.

There is no sign-up: ask whoever told you about SingleMall. Only the person who runs it can create one.
